All right…before I lose this whole thing….I needed to share some of Larry Carlton’s both artisty, versatility, and wonderful richness as it grows over the years… I have a ticket to see him at a small venue in December. I hope you can enjoy some or all of this….and more..as you find other things to listen to along the way… In no particular order, but I think (like I remember any more) that Springville is one of the earlier ones….he had long full hair back then, and now, has very little….no correlation to his playing at alllllllllll……(smile)
Again, the link….copy and paste as need to…. and the description follows each link….the early music has some rock to it, but he is a jazz and bluesy player with incredible depth…and plays with some of the best….and by no means have I included any indication of the breadth of the music I did not list here….and by the way….he has played for so many tv etc theme songs and so many recording sessions, not to mention Steely Dan’s go to guitarist, that if you never heard of him, some of his music may sound familiar….and yes….I threw in the Yellowjackets, and he does not play with them, but they are worth listening to…and if you like, go find more
