Poem, Lost My Flow Let It Go
December 13, 2018 /
Lost My Flow, Let It Go
when your stomach is all bloating
cause the food you ate is still floating
around inside for too long
and your hope turns to desperation
as your brow drips become overall perspiration
and your intestine’s singing songs
you remember you took three cups worth
of powder that’s supposed to make you give birth
to a whale that’s living in a place it doesn’t belong
the cramps ramp up your face flush
with the pending peristaltic rush
finally making right what was oh so very wrong
relief and finally you can breathe
with what needed to, having taken their leave
as you practice a non-attachment celebratory song.
Let it go,
Let it go,
All things stay a while, get sucked dry and go.
It’s just another metaphor for life.
